Body composition (BC) analysis is part of the reproductive and developmental toxicology studies (DART) done in NHPs.

BC analysis provides quantitative information and describes the three-compartment BC model, including bone mineral content (BMC), fat mass (FM) and fat-free mass (FFM).

BC analysis can also provide information about treatment-induced changes that develop over time.
