IOBC: Lace Wing (chrysoperla carnea)

The IOBC: Lace wing test assesses the effect of a substance on mortality of lace wing larvae and pupae, and the reproductive performance of adult lace wings. Larvae are exposed to the test substance dried onto glass plates or leaves, and mortality is assessed regularly until adult hatching. Cocoons are removed for separate reproductive assessment of adults emerging from them, by monitoring egg laying and hatching over 2 weeks.
