What Every Sponsor Should Know Before Planning Dialysis Trials: Insight From a PI and Dialysis Organizations

Hemodialysis (HD) patients spend more than 12 hours a week receiving lifesaving dialysis treatments at an out-patient HD unit. This frequency may facilitate the planning and execution of HD trials; however, stakeholders must understand the daily practice of how HD treatments are administered so that HD trial protocols do not disrupt the daily care or the flow of the clinical HD staff.
