Cell mediated immune response analysis
The development of and optimization of commonly used, relevant assays (such as ELISPOT, cytokine analysis, etc.) to evaluate cell-mediated immune responses against vaccine candidates.
The ELISPOT assay has been used to analyze immune responses in vaccine development and is now one of the most commonly used immunoassays to measure antigen-specific T cells. It is highly quantitative and can assess critical cellular immune-related activities, such as IFN-γ secretion.
ELISPOT is adaptable to multiple cell types (e.g., T cells and B cells) as well as to various secreted products (e.g., cytokines and granzyme B).
